A surface-mounted junction box behind a camera or light fixture is functional but visible. These covers surround the box to give the installation a finished look.
The cover is decorative. It helps shield the junction box from direct rain and sunlight, but does not itself seal or weatherproof the installation. A separate cover gasket is not required because the installed fixture normally provides its own weatherproof seal; fixture requirements vary.

Exposed Junction Box Covers — four fit styles for common surface-mounted boxes: Pancake, Octagonal, Round 1 (1.5") and Round 2 (1.6"). Round 1 matches 4-inch-class round PVC surface-mount boxes at 1.5 in deep; Round 2 matches 4-inch round metallic boxes at 1.6 in deep. Other boxes of similar height may fit but are not confirmed. Covers are retained by the fixture installed over them; the octagonal cover can also be retained by turning it 90 degrees into place.

Customizable covers — for a surface-mounted 4-inch round weatherproof box, sized to order. The round version takes any outside diameter from 5 to 12 inches; the rectangular version takes independent width and height, each 5 to 12 inches. Both have four slide-out tabs for surface-run conduit.
Before you order
Covers are decorative and provide no sealing or structural support. No gasket, screws, or wiring are included, and a cover is not an electrical enclosure. Customizable sizes are made to order — allow additional production time, and note that returns are not accepted on made-to-order sizes.
Cutting a wall opening too large instead? The 6-inch oops plate covers oversized openings around flush-mounted boxes.
